Now that we’re starting to see some lightening up when it comes to restrictions as well as a limited amount of non-essential businesses set to open up in larger and more liberal counties like Los Angeles, it’s pretty safe to say that we can get out of crisis mode and start to focus a little more on our own health in conjunction with doing a service to those in our community who are more susceptible to COVID-19. As the world opens back up, it’s important to keep a few things in mind when it comes to your own health and immune system.

If you’ve been social distancing and staying indoors, it’s important to start reintroducing yourself to the outside world. It’s also starting to become okay to meet with one or two people here and there to start getting back in touch with our humanity. It’s also important to trade biomes with other human beings so our immune systems can basically exchange data (whether it’s pathogens your immune system defeats and logs for future invasions or beneficial bacteria that we exchange when we come into contact with human beings. It’s when we limit contact and exposure to flora and fauna that our immune systems become weakened, so keep this in mind as you reintroduce yourself to the outside world.

Exercising and staying on top of your cardio is an especially good idea during this time. Try to run either early in the morning or in the evening to limit your contact with other human beings as we all make this awkward transition back to some semblance of normalcy.
